Dubrovnik, Croatia — travels from 2013

Dubrovnik was my favorite city that I have ever been to. The old city was surrounded by a large wall and totally pedestrian inside. It smelled fantastic, the exchange rate was great, everything was clean, and the people were incredibly friendly.

What I learned in Dubrovnik is: I need to retire in a country like this, life is actually better by the water, there is nothing more relaxing than being in a place without automobiles.

While we did not get to explore this beautiful country to the fullest extent, it is on a definite list to return with more time. The natural beauty of this country is unparalleled and I cannot wait for a chance to go back.
